MGA – COVID-19 Direction on Submissions

ok

Further to yesterday’s communication, the Authority understands that one of the measures that may be taken in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 is to increase the number of employees conducting their work remotely, and with as little physical contact with third parties as possible. This is also a measure which may be implemented by the Authority itself.

In order to minimise disruption of such policies, as a temporary measure the Authority will be accepting all submissions in soft copy. Hard copies may be sent, and will be processed by the Authority, when operational resources permit. Please be reminded that certification requirements will, however, continue to apply nonetheless.

On a practical note, in light of the fact that not all documents have apposite fields in the relevant Licensee Relationship Management System application, any documents that do not have such field may be uploaded in the ‘Other Documents’ section. Documents that have a specific field allocated to them should, of course, be filed in such field as per normal practice.

Should any challenges arise, you are encouraged to proactively contact the Chief Authorisations Officer, Karl Brincat Peplow ([email protected]).

Yours sincerely, Malta Gaming Authority
