TERMINATION OF THE CURAÇAO ORANGE DIGITAL SEAL EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 15, 2025
The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has announced that the Orange Digital Seal, a temporary certification previously issued to former sub-licensees, will be terminated on October 15, 2025. On this date, all technical functionality supporting the seal will be disabled.
This measure is part of the ongoing transition to the new National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK) framework. The Orange Seal was introduced as an interim solution for operators who had submitted complete applications for a direct license but were still awaiting a decision from the CGA. The authority expects to finalize all pending applications from operators holding a valid Orange Seal by September 30, 2025.
Operators must immediately cease using the Orange Seal if their application is rejected, as continued unauthorized use may result in enforcement actions and could negatively impact future licensing opportunities. It is important to note that filing an objection or appeal against a rejection does not permit continued operations, and all activities must stop immediately upon receiving a rejection notice.
Furthermore, operators must ensure that all outstanding license fees are fully paid in order to be granted a provisional license. Failure to settle these fees will result in application rejection and an immediate mandate to cease operations.
