CURAÇAO GAMING AUTHORITY SETS FINAL DEADLINE FOR LOK COMPLIANCE SUBMISSIONS – 31 OCTOBER 2025
The CGA has set 31 October 2025 as the final deadline for all LOK compliance submissions. No extensions will be granted beyond the current provisional licence period ending 24 December 2025.
The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has announced that 31 October 2025 is the final deadline for submitting all outstanding information and documentation required under the Landsverordening op de Kansspelen (LOK).
As part of the transition to the new LOK framework, all valid online gaming licences issued under the previous legislation were converted into provisional licences, which will expire on 24 December 2025. To qualify for conversion to a definitive licence, the CGA must receive and review all required documentation before the October 31 deadline.
The CGA has indicated that a number of licence holders still have missing or incomplete documentation, such as proof of source of wealth and source of funds, details of the compliance officer and required internal policies and procedures.
The Authority has emphasised that incomplete, unclear, or altered (manipulated) submissions will not be accepted and may negatively impact the licence evaluation process. To facilitate timely review, all documentation must be submitted through the CGA online portal and in accordance with the official CGA guidelines.
Importantly, the CGA has made clear that no further extensions of the provisional licence period will be granted. Any materials submitted after 31 October 2025 will not be reviewed and licences that have not met all compliance requirements by that date may not qualify for conversion to a definitive licence.
IGA strongly urges all licence holders to treat this deadline with the utmost priority. Ensuring that submissions are complete, accurate, and properly formatted well in advance of the deadline will help avoid delays or potential licence expiry.
