GAMING CONTROL BOARD ANNOUNCES END-OF-EXTENSION FOR MASTER LICENCE HOLDERS
The Gaming Control Board (GCB) has made a significant announcement regarding the expiration of master licences held by various entities.
As per the latest directive, the GCB has decided that the master licence holders will not be granted any further extensions.
Below is the detailed table listing the expiration dates of the current master licence holders:
Master Licensor (ML) | Expiry Licence |
Gaming Services Provider NV | 18th August 2024 |
Cyberluck Curaçao NV | 1st October 2024 |
Antillephone NV | 28th November 2024 |
C.I.L. Curaçao Interactive Licensing NV | 31st January 2025 |
Should an operator’s master licence expire where the operator has submitted a complete application for a direct licence but has not yet received a decision, the operator is eligible for a temporary Certificate of Operation issued by the GCB to continue operations.
This temporary authorization is the ‘Orange Digital Seal’ and is only valid until such time as the application process has concluded. Licensed operators will be granted a ‘Green Digital Seal’.
Operators currently holding sub-licences are encouraged to review their compliance status and take the necessary steps to transition to the new licensing framework. The GCB advises licence holders to ensure all applications are complete and submitted promptly to avoid any disruptions in their operations.
For assistance with the migration process, entities can reach out to the IGA Group, who can provide support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition to the new regulatory requirements.
