Pragmatic Play can now operate in the Greek market after securing a Type A1 supplier license by the Hellenic Gambling Commission.
The Type A1 license will allow Pragmatic Play to strengthen its position in the Greek market after already forming partnerships with Kaizen Gaming and Novibet’s Greek operation. The provider will join the likes of Bet365 and Betsson who have also been licensed to operate in Greece this year.
Pragmatic Play’s Director of Compliance, Sheriff Khamoura said, “We are thrilled to take a crucial step into the Greek market by being granted this A1 Licence. This is a great opportunity for us to continue delivering our expanding product offering to Greek operators.”
The announcement comes after Bhotest Maheshwari, VP of strategy and operations at Pragmatic Play discussed how essential gamification is within the igaming vertical, last month. Maheshwari also detailed how the firm’s drops & wins promotions have paved the way for success in both slots and live casinos.
“It’s no secret that just having a good slot offering isn’t going to cut it anymore, and what really sets apart incredible suppliers from the masses is the extras,” he begins.
“One major development in recent years has been the advancement of gamification tools, a collection of player engagement solutions that can add to any game session without detracting from the actual gameplay.”
Pragmatic Play’s portfolio is second to none when it comes to diversity and depth of quality. Currently, the multi-product portfolio includes up to 5 new slot titles a month as well as an impressive array of Live Casino and Bingo games, all available through one single API. Some of the most popular live games by Pragmatic Play include the likes of Mega Wheel, Blackjack Azure, as well as several entertaining variants of roulette. Greek players will now be able to enjoy popular titles like Fruit Party 2, Sweet Bonanza and Wolf Gold, while also sampling new releases like YumYum Powerways and Chilli Heat Megaways.
The provider’s recent license acquisition is just one of many major moves Pragmatic Play has made in order to expand its presence in Europe. Over the past year, the company has entered deals with major operators, most recently teaming up with Planetwin365 to grow its presence in Italy. Pragmatic Play has also recently inked a deal with Spanish gambling brand Codere and with Dotworkers to expand its influence on the Latin American market.
